History
The Universal Educational Development was originally founded in 1982 in United Arab Emirates devoted to education and service in the Middle East based on high standards of conduct and scholarship and to contribute to intellectual growth, discipline, and character of the future leaders of Middle East region. Expending its activities through the Far East and Middle East, UED was designed in Egypt in 2003 to fill the gab in the field of higher, professional and continuing education in Egypt .

Our Vision and objectives
To be a Center of Providing Quality Lifelong Learning Services at affordable cost in international level. To enable students to study in their own countries at all levels of Degree of western quality standard. It is focused on the principles of sustainable development. Highest possible academic and professional quality standards are maintained by employing the tested procedures of Total Quality Assurance (TQA). Teaching/training is done by an expert team of professors recruited from Top Universities all over the world. The Programme strikes the necessary balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Strategic Collaborations and Partnerships
UED has well-established strategic partnerships and alliances with renowned universities and educational institutions around the world. It works closely with partners from EU , USA , UK , Australia , Canada , Netherland and New Zealand to offer world-class education programmes. As well as close collaboration with local universities and organizations such as Cairo University, American University in Cairo, Ain Shams University, MUST University, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, National Research Center, VACSERA GROUP, CIB, HSBC ect.
UED is assigned to be a Regional Center of British International University, accredited, recognized and approved by the Charter of the Government of Montserrat, British West Indies (A British Dependent Territory). BIU is provisionally accredited by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP) which provides assurance to medical students, graduates, the medical profession, healthcare institutions and the public that undergraduate programmes leading to qualifications in medicine meet appropriate national and international standards for educational quality, and that medical graduates have a sufficiently complete and valid educational experience. The University is currently in the process of being listed in the World Health Organization (W.H.O) World directory of medical schools, enabling its graduates to appear for licensing examinations worldwide. BIU also plans in the near future to be registered with the General Medical Council (G.M.C) of United Kingdom and the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) of the United States as well as be listed among the Association of Commonwealth Universities. BIU is promoted by Sudhir Gopi Holdings Inc., is a leader in the world of higher education, with several educational institutions in India , Dubai , and Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE, and Montserrat in the British West Indies . These institutions offer instruction in a variety of disciplines ranging from Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Veterinary, Engineering, Management, IT, Hotel Management and Tourism, Science & Technology, Education among others.
UED is working in concluded collaboration with International Technological University (ITU UK) created on the initiative of some eminent academics, the International Centre for Technical Research (ICTR) and UNESCO and established under a resolution of the Twenty-fourth Session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Paris (24 C/DR.217 COM.III) in providing higher education in science, technology and management to suitably qualified students in developing countries. Its purpose is to narrow the technology gap between developed and developing countries and identify or develop and then make available to constituent colleges high quality learning materials and validate the teaching of these subjects.

Our Quality Assurance Scheme
Maintenance of the highest possible quality standards for UED Programmes is paramount, not to be compromised under any circumstances. The External Examiner is responsible for ensuring that highest possible quality standards are maintained.
UED in affiliation with all international partners has devised and successfully tried and tested a set of procedures called Total Quality Assurance (TQA). This scheme was used in all of our European Master Degree programmes. For this the strategic interventions, described in (a)-(c) below, are made by the External Examiner. Also, other strategies, described in (d)-(e) below, are adopted to make the quality control process as robust as possible.
(a) Scrutiny and validation of the Programme structure and module syllabuses
(b) Scrutiny and validation of question papers for written examinations
(c) Moderation of the written examination marks and project marks
The same procedure is also adopted for Project theses.
